Sunday Brunch (March 20, 2016)

Yesterday I wrote that I wouldn’t post any other blogs this week, including Sunday Bruch, in light of Holy Week, but for Sunday Brunch I really only meant for Easter Sunday. Forgive me.

Today’s Sunday Bruch has a variety of interesting links I found.

Singing Changes Your Brain. The former choir director in me loves to read this: “Group singing has been scientifically proven to lower stress, relieve anxiety, and elevate endorphins.”

Children and Gender Identity. There is still some sanity among the professionals. “The American College of Pediatricians (ACPeds)—a socially conservative association of pediatricians and healthcare professionals in the United States, founded in 2002—has issued the following statement on gender identity in children.”

Kurt Cobain and the Problem of Guilt. What did Nirvana’s frontman have to do with Augustine of Hippo?  A lot, actually.

When Punting Isn’t an Option. He reminded us that whether or not we will be in professional ministry, we are all students of Scripture, and that demands a serious, dedicated approach. There are no short cuts. There are no easy roads.

Float Tank Therapy. Whether or not you live in the Twin Cities, this sounds amazing.
